Part 2:- Fuss Free Guide To Removing Your Make-Up Without Damaging Your Skin

Putting on makeup is always fun. It’s the taking off bit which usually deters us from going Van Gogh on our face. Read this to know how to seamless take off your make up at the end of the night.

“Thou shall always take off makeup before going to bed” Wearing makeup to bed will not only encourage those free radicals to accelerate the skin’s ageing process but it will  MOST DEFINITELY clog your pores and those with acne prone skin will suffer the most.

In Part II,  we’re going to help you with an easy routine to freshen up your face before you hit the sack.

Start off with a mild oil

One swipe of any oil (a little will go a long way) will remove most of the product, however, waterproof makeup will take a few more swipes. And hey, it works perfectly well for moisturizing and hydration. Start off with cleaning your face and leave my eyes for the last, as that’s where most of the product is.

Don’t forget to gently wipe the makeup off.
You can opt for a cleansing milk, an oil-based cleanser or even micellar water. For those who don’t know, micellar water is made of water and oil molecules, so it cleans out dirt without drying the skin. The product can be used as a face wash, makeup remover, and moisturizer. L’Oreal has recently come up with a micellar water product. To remove the face makeup, a cleansing milk or micellar water works well. However, for the eyes and lips, I’d suggest an oil-based cleanser since the pigments are stronger and you don’t want to scrub.

Once you’re done with cleansing, take a clean cotton pad with just a drop of oil and clean up whatever little product is left. (you can also use a wet wipe!) If you’ve used waterproof eye makeup, take a Q-tip dipped in baby oil and slide it near the lash line to ensure its all off.

During this holiday season we suggest keeping this All-In-One  DIY makeup remover handy if you have had one too many drinks! 

All you’re going to need is a few cotton pads, water, baby oil, baby shampoo and a glass jar.Pour the water into the jar, add about 1 tsp of the baby shampoo and dilute it completely. Next, add the baby oil (you can also use olive or coconut oil, depending on your preference). Now you can put the cotton pads into the solution and store. Not only is this DIY super effective, but it is very mild on the skin too. All you need to do is take out a few pads from your refrigerator, swipe, rinse moisturize and sleep!
